Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting aspiring chefs working towards their Food Preparation and Nutrition GCSE, at Crestwood Community School.
The purpose of this trip was to enrich the students’ understanding of crucial food preparation and nutrition skills, which were integral to their GCSE curriculum.
Throughout the visit, our kitchen staff shared insights into their journeys to becoming chefs, along with their current expertise. This offered valuable perspectives on the skills that have earned our establishment the title of Southampton’s Best Restaurant.
The aspiring chefs were treated to a meticulously crafted three-course meal featuring a trio of arancini, chicken milanese, and a decadent dark chocolate mousse.
These dishes showcased our commitment to quality and creativity, aiming to inspire the students with their final exam ideas and menus.
This hands-on experience allowed the pupils not only to savour exceptional cuisine but also to gain practical knowledge that will undoubtedly assist them in their upcoming exams.
At Figurati, we are passionate about supporting the local community whenever possible and actively seek opportunities to contribute. Earlier in the year, we invited Cantell School to Figurati, focusing on table etiquette, confidence in formal dining, and essential aspects of adulthood.
Our commitment to education extends beyond the traditional classroom environment to broaden the horizons of young minds.
Figurati invites schools to participate in these enriching experiences, fostering a new generation of chefs, food enthusiasts, and individuals passionate about the art of dining.
