What’s new at Figurati Southampton Italian Restaurant this week? So it seems the weather has done what we asked it to, but for exactly ‘how long’ do we have this Late Summer? Maybe we’re out of luck and it’s over now but let’s be honest if we look back we had a pretty good run when it comes to British Summer! But not to worry as our new specials menu has some great fresh food for you to enjoy no matter what the weather. Plus we have another Lusso Brunch at the end of the month and we can’t wait to host you all again.

Our featured wine is a fresh Bride Valley Dorset Chardonnay, a perfect light white wine with fruity and crisp flavours, and a great yellowy colour to match the sunsets. By the glass or by the bottle (we think you’ll want the bottle …).

Say hello to the featured starter, homemade Ham Hock & Mozzarella Croquettes with chilli jam, and these are so addictive you will not want to share. Light and tasty all at the same time, we could actually eat an entire plate of 20 of these. Or maybe a precursor to your pizza … our specials Slow Cooked Beef Pizza is just full of flavour and packed with toppings, you won’t be sharing a slice (unless you’re super nice).

To many many people’s request, we have put lobster back on the menu! Chef Nick has finally given in to all of the questions and nagging from staff and customers, and low and behold a Lobster Bucatini with confit garlic, spinach and roasted shellfish sauce. Thick juicy pasta with the succulent tastes of the fish, why not pair this with the featured wine? Or perhaps you could try the Pan Fried Cod Fillet if you’re into fish, with a white wine tomato & basil sauce. One of our favourites from this menu as it’s pretty light but also a great mix of flavours and textures.

Something for the red meat eaters, the Roasted Venison Loin cooked to perfection and pink inside, with wild mushroom pearl barley and blackberry jus. The fruitiness cuts the meat in a sharp but delicious way, kind of like when you pair apple with cheese, right? And to finish it all off we present the Peanut Butter Semifreddo with one of our famous Bombolini’s filled with raspberry, topped with salted peanuts. Not overpowering and not too sweet! So whatever takes your fancy, be sure to book a table and head down before the disappear!
